We had a really nice time at brunch with Santa at the Royal Park Hotel yesterday...we have gone there for the past 3 years. Food is great, atmosphere is beautiful and Santa is really nice...this year there was an added treat - the largest gingerbread house we'd ever seen! It was amazing! And....we actually got some good pictures with the kids! Considering that to get the X-mas card pictures this year I took 274 shots and NOT ONE had all 3 kids looking the same place at the same time, and with a smile! I guess it was too much pressure!!! Not for the kids, but for ME!

Detroit Zoo Boo 10-19-2008
On Sunday evening we went to the Detroit Zoo Boo...it's an annual thing we have done for the last 4 years. We had great weather. It was Dino's first time at the Zoo and as you can see by the pictures, he was only marginally impressed! He was such a good boy, just strolling along, without a peep! He seems to like all the colorful costumes. The entire Zoo is decorated with real pumpkins, painted to represent animals...they are really cool to look at. There are treat stations along the way and people in costumes pass out goodies...then there is a show at the end of the walk and then you can get donuts and hot cider...of all the years we have gone this was one of the very nicest...the "pumpkin animals" were great and the weather was warm enough to be enjoyable for us all. We have gone with our friends each year. It's fun to watch the excitement they have running from station to station - you gotta' love it!

Gingerbread House at Historic Wolcott Mill 10-12-08
Averee didn't have quite as much on her house - she did more eating than decorating...
Halloween at Greenfield Village 10/11/08
J.J. and I took the kids to Greenfield Village - Dino's first Halloween! He wore the same costume as the girls had worn for their first Halloween - he really didn't seem too impressed by the whole event! It was a PERFECT night...65 degrees and beautiful...Averee was "Supergirl" and Joee was "Batman Girl" (her version of Batgirl)... this was the first event in our annual 'HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA" !! More to come!
